Glenmore State High School Aboriginal Dance troupe performed for the whole school parade.

The Hall State School celebrated NAIDOC on Thursday 2 August 2018.

We started the day with a whole school parade. Our Captains opened the parade with an “Acknowledgement of Country” and Uncle Bill Mann performed a “Smoking Ceremony”. The Aboriginal Dancers from Glenmore State High School performed a “Welcome Dance” and a ‘Spirit Dance”.

Classes then rotated through the following activities: Damper making, Bush Food/Medicine Talks/Artefacts, Land/Sea Talks, Face Painting, Traditional Games and Pole Painting.

We would like to thank everyone for their assistance in making our celebrations a special day that students enjoyed and learned about indigenous culture.
